Lost Hope
Lost Hope was written and directed by Melanie Peterson. She had been a great asset in every way to Rampage By Definition and found that in her chances to Direct RBD she liked it, so wanting to try it again she wrote this impressive and capturing short about two sisters and their struggle to cope after a family tragedy.
Melanie has a true knack for writing real and believable characters and carrying that vision and ability to the screen as a Director, she knows how to bring out the best performance in an actress and make a scene flow.
We also had a chance to work with an up and coming actress and all around Hollywood woman, Julia Colbert! We've worked with her a very long time ago in our very first shorts (before Kourtyard) but since she moved to California we hadn't had a chance to work with her again until now. She is a fantastic old friend and actress and all around awesome lady!
This film was shot in one or two days (if I can remember correctly, in my defense this was filmed 8 months ago lol). Being a drama with very few technical things to worry about, just pure acting and emotion and creating the right feel, it moved quickly but came out very beautifully.
We would like to thank Kourtny Leia Otto at Kourtyard Film & Photography for her, as usual, beautiful DPing and continued hard work in the editing room. As well as Jonathan Zuniga at ULTIMATUM| Music For Motion Pictures for the score.
Enjoy!
